Salbutamol
Composition : Each Metered dose (Puff) contains Salbutamol BP 100 mcg as Salbutamol Sulphate.
Indication : Bronchospasm : Ventil is
indicated for the treatment of prevention
of bronchospasm in patients 4 years of
age and older with reversible obstructive
airway disease.
Exercise-induced Bronchospasm : Ventil is indicated for the prevention of
exercise-induced bronchospasm in
patients 4 years of age and older
Dosage and administration : For
treatment of acute episods of
bronchospasm or prevention of
asthmatic symptoms, the usual dosage
for adults and children 4 years of age
and older is 2 inhalations repeated every
4 to 6 hours; in some patients, 1
inhalation every 4 hours may be
sufficient. More frequent administration
or a larger number of inhalations is not
recommended. Exercise-Induced
Bronchospasm Prevention: The usual
dosage for adults and children 4 years
and older is 2 inhalations 15 to 30
minutes before exercise. Or, as directed
by the registered physician.
Use in pregnancy and lactation :
Pregnancy category C. There are no
adequate and well- Controlled studies of
Salbutamol sulphate in pregnant women.
Salbutamol inhaler should be used
during pregnancy only if the potential
benefit justifies the potential risk to the
fetus. It is not known whether the
components of Salbutamol excreted in
human milk.
Packing : Ventil HFA Inhaler : Each box
contains one inhaler of 200 Puffs.
