Topiramate USP
Composition: Epimet 25 : Each tablet contains Topiramate USP 25mg.
Epimet 50: Each tablet contains Topiramate USP 50
mg.
Indications : It is indicated to treat certain types
of seizures (partial onset seizure and primary generalized tonic- clonic
seizures) and the preventive treatment of migraine in patients 12 years of age
and older.
Dosage & Administration : The recommended
dose for Topiramate monotherapy in adults and pediatric 10 yeras of age and
older is 400mg/day in two divided doses, the initial dose of topiramate is
25mg/day for the first week,the dosage can be increased by 25-50mg/- day.For
the preventive treatement of migraine patients in 12 years of age and older
Thre recommended dose is 100mg/day administered in two divided doses.The dose
should not exceed the maximum maintenance dose or, as directed by a registered
physician.
Use in pregnancy and lactation : Pregnancy : Topiramate
should not be given during pregnancy and lactation.
Packing: Epimet 25 : Each box contains 50 tablets in blister pack.
Epimet 50 : Each box contains 50 tablets in blister pack.
